-GREENPEACE-

Two weeks when a friend of mine was taking a look at to the want ads the advert titled “YOU CAN WORK FOR GREENPEACE PART-TIMELY” has caught his attention.

He complained “How can it be?  They say they don’t do this job not for commercial purposes but they put want ads. It is hard to understand them.”

Yes they put WANT AD.  As I know Greenpeace is a foundation based on voluntariness, but it seems as if this doesn’t work in Turkey.

When it is mentioned about Greenpeace I remember the green peace, love the green love the nature etc. but after I thought them if I remember the COOL university students trying to sell some kinds of journals for charity, it is really strange.

What are the main principles of Greenpeace ?

-A non-violent activity ??

It is hard to mention from this in our country…

-Respect to Mother Nature?

The respect that we ignore without exception at the every weekend of summer. We all show our respect with our garbage (even the members of Greenpeace). I am sure some of them will object this idea like “No, you are wrong. I don’t leave my garbage like this, actually I pay attention to collect the garbage. But you ignore your neighbours to throw away their garbage. “Of course they have clean their garbage by themselves!” and when sometimes you warn the ones who throws away garbage you take a “It is none of your business!” reply. As a respond to this answer, his garbage stays there and you don’t take it. Shortly all of we respect the nature.

-Being scientific?
Science in Turkey?

If I make the long story short, when it is said Greenpeace I remember the people who sell online journals then there is huge problem in the Greenpeace’s Turkey branch.
When I say I am against to Nuclear Power Plants, the fact that I come across that a university students saying everything is beneficial in this country that is against and another one’s finding Nuclear Power Plants and Thermoelectric Power Plants useful.( They have lots of benefits in short term.)

It ıs strange  people don’t know that Thermoelectric Power Plants pollute our water supplies with heavy chemicals and even cause to acid rains, and this acid rains damages to hectares forests. (There are lots of examples in Turkey in this topic)
Note to Greenpeace: At least give an education to him who sells the journal about the Greenpeace and nature to answer some questions…
